Why breakfast is important for weight loss

is a common myth that skipping meals helps . But in reality it has a negative effect on weight loss especially .

You may wonder how skipping the affects weight loss and you might think if we don't eat food, then body will use the stored in the body and it will lead to weight loss but unfortunately that is not how our body functions.  Breakfast has got the name from the fact that it breaks the longest fast our body goes in a day i.e. from dinner to next day meal.

Breakfast

When we wake up from sleep, our body is totally depleted of energy/vitamins. If we don't eat food in the morning, then our body enters into starvation mode as a response.  In starvation mode, our body starts to burn calories in a very efficient way and starts to save it for future in the form of fat in the body.

Moreover when we skip our breakfast, we will soon become hungry before the lunch time and start to eat snacks or tea/coffee loaded with sugar. These foods won't have enough vitamins and minerals that our body needs so till our body gets enough minerals/vitamins, we will remain hungry. As a result of that, we tend to eat a lot of food in lunch time. As our body is in starvation mode, it uses this opportunity well and stores them all as fat.

Thus we gain weight instead of losing it when we skip breakfast.
